Post Christmas

Christmas is totally over. It was this huge buildup and now its over for the year. I had a great day! It started off by going to church at about 7am. Then we had bacon and eggs for breakfast and lazed around. We then opened presents and I'll put pics and descriptions up later on. For lunch we went to my older brothers house to spend it with extended family. Lunch is always very traditional. So roast pork, chicken, turkey (from the Canadian friend), roast vegies and gravy. Yum! I only had chicken, turkey, potatos and some vegies since I'm still on this low allergy diet of mine. But I ate dessert which I'm not really meant to have but I did =p. I had plum pudding and brandy custard!! Oh yeh so good! Then we just hung out and watched some cable TV. But we watched Ice Age 2 in the afternoon.

Anyway, that night we didn't do much but we watched 'Over the Hedge.' I hadn't seen either of those movies and I bought Ice Age 2 for my lil 5 yr old nephew. All in all it was a fantastic day. I love spending it eating and being with family and remembering why there is a christmas at all. Jesus birth!

On Boxing Day I went with my brother and some of his friends to go see Happy Feet. It is such a cute movie. All this singing and dancing. And Elijah Wood played Mumble the main penguin. I have a soft spot for Elijah Wood because of Lord of the Rings. Baby Mumble was too cute! I have a little thing for penguins now. It's a great little movie.

Jason is still in Bathurst. But I was able to talk to him on the phone last night. Nearly a 2 hour convo! We don't normally speak for that long on the phone when he's here. I miss you Jason!!

Thought I'd list what I received for Christmas--->

Mum and Dad - A digital camera. Still coming and this cute little old fashioned clock. It's little and perfect for my revamped room.
My Brother Alvin - He got me this beautiful Guess necklace with a few pendants. There's a locket, a heart, a cross, and a gold circle with diamonte in the middle. It's very vintage looking. Gorgeous. He also got me a Pink Ribbon glue stick. It's kind of a inside family joke. My brothers always told me when I was younger that they would get me a little pink glue if I would do something for them. =)
My oldest Bro Rolf, Liz and the 2 boys Isaiah and Caeleb - I was given Havaiana ties for my Havi thongs (I love this type of sandle the ankle tie up), a very cute matching Calvin Klein underwear set and a Lancome juicy Tube! (Eee! Always wanted one!)
Paula and David (my brothers in laws) Some a new pretty quilt cover and pillowcase set. Woo! I needed one of those as well.
Tita Raquel (a family friend tita means aunty in filipino) - a sweet knit dress. This will be great in the cooler months. I need to get some boots and I'll wear my opaque tights with it.
Thara - She got me a hat embroidered in the Phils! its so cool and I love the colours pink and white together. She also got me this sweet little coin purse with tiny kittens on it. And these awesome stickers that I can use in my crafting =)Also she got me a $1 scratchie too bad I didn't win anything. And some chocolate of couse which didn't make the photo =P
Jenn - She got me some really, really cute Paul Frank pjs. I love them. They are too cute. Julius the monkey is adorable. Always wanted some of these!
Kristina - She told me her present was in a 'beach' theme. It was so cute. There is this gorgeous bag in dark pink with gold embroidery on it and these Kustom white thongs. Very sweet present.
Jason's mum Karen - She got me this really adorable green purse. It fits all my essential cards plus money. I wanted to get one of these too. It's from Sportsgirl. She also bought me the Pink album. =) I like her music.
Brodie and Emmi (Jase' bro and his gf) - I got another underwear set lol. This one is from French Connection. It is soooo cute! I love the set. So cute and pretty.
And Jason! - So many beautiful things. He got me this ethereal white dress. Makes me think of flowers in my hair and sitting on a tree stump in a fantasy forest. lol. He got me a beautiful beautiful Guess bag, a perspek Tinkerbell necklace from the Valley markets (I really wanted this hehe), some Witchery ankle tie thongs which had some spare ribbons (really really wanted these - I wore these to christmas lunch - thats why they're a bit dirty already eep), an original hand painted singlet from the Valley Markets (I chose this coz I thought it was pretty) and Jason drew me the loveliest picture of Tinkerbell for me. It is so precious.
I love everything I got! I'm so totally blessed by a wonderful family and friends. Oh and here's a photo from Christmas morning. It's of mum and me in front of the christmas tree and presents. The tree doesn't have that many decorations on it coz it's new this year. This was taken after church that morning.

Anyway, it had been a cold and rainy day here which is really weird for this summer season, but it is very cosy and I really like it =)

Miss you Jason! xoxo

Merry Christmas!!

I just want to say that I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas!! I'm having lunch with the extended family. So it should be fun. This wonderful holiday that we have because of Jesus' birth. I want to always remember that and to keep that the reason that we celebrate this holiday. It's such a great time with family and friends and it awesome to just spend it with family. I love this season and I love putting up the tree, decorating and buying presents.

So I hope everyone has a fantastic christmas and very happy new year. I'm sure I will have another post before new years though. mwa xoxo

3 Days til Christmas

I can't believe it is the 22nd of December. How quick has this year gone by?? It's crazy really.

Well I watched the first two parts of Lord of the Rings today. Gosh I love those movies. They're awesome!! The special effects, the acting, the scenery, the soundtrack. I love the book as well. I watched it while crafting. I tried making a christmasy singlet today. I just mucked around with my crafts.

I received my 12 Days of Christmas package last week but I can only open a present a day so I will have the photos after christmas. I also don't have a camera at the moment. Mine went weird so I have to use either Jasons and he's not here, or my parents one. And the photos don't seem to turn out as well on my parents camera.

Anyway, here are some things I made for my friends. Namely, Kristina and Laura. I basically made them identical presents for Christmas. I didn't get photos of the journal or the bought thing but here are the things I got photos of.

This is how I packaged one of the things I made. Two of these are for other friends and I got them other things. It's a bauble with some handmade earrings and a Ferero Rocher chocolate in it.

This is the bracelet I made. Laura's one is exactly the same except the photos is different. I kind of like this. I wish I put a few more things one. I like it as a decoration too. Althought the pic is a bit dark and blurry.

These are the earrings I made for Laura. Again blurry photo. Sorry couldn't help that. Plus I was in a rush. Wanted to get it all wrapped up.

And these are the earrings I made for Kris. Yes, pretty much the same just different coloured beads. But I like them. Simple but pretty. Well I hope so anyway.

This is the collage thing I made for them. I painted the canvas and then decorated it. I made the mini mask. The 'precious moment' was us together at the Young adults masquerade ball. It was so much fun by the way. And again both collages were pretty much the same. I just had different coloured shoes and the little charm in the corner was different.
My dad bought a sewing machine a few days ago. So now I can learn to sew properly. I did back in year 8 but I have forgotton most of it now. But I get two free lessons from the place that we bought the machine. Yay. Now I can learn to hem my own pants and things instead of getting it done (it costs like $16 which is a rip job).
I think thats it for now. Sigh I miss you Jase if you ever get to read this

Jason Leaving =(

Jason leaves on Wednesday. Sigh. So having a special christmas dinner with his fam tomorrow night. It's going to be lonely here. Sigh. I hope you have a great trip Jase! I will miss you heaps!!

Anyway, we did our last bit of christmas shopping and I'm glad its done. We also watched Eragon again =p Hehe I noticed so many more things this time. I have read quite a few comments and a lot of fans of the books didn't really like the movie. It definately had chunks of the book missing and characters weren't there either and some of the character development wasn't the best like Ajihad and Hrothgar but I still enjoyed it. I'm not a psycho fan of the books. So I will most definately buy the dvd when it comes out.

While I'm on the topic of movies I really want to get the extended Narnia dvd. But it seems like its only sold in America and Canada. So that really sux. And I can't seem to find the Eragon soundtrack anywhere. Although I checked Sanity online and it had it but I couldn't find it instore. Sigh. Lots of sighing today for various reasons. =)

Thats all from me today.

Eragon Movie!

Today Jason and I went to go watch the Eragon movie. It was awesome. I loved it! I was a bit worried that I built up too much expectation but I do like it. And to think this morning I watched this movie review and the guy gave it a 1.5 out of 5. Geez like he knows what he's saying. It's only his opinion though anyway. But I enjoyed it. It missed parts and changed parts but it was still cool. So want to watch it again methinks =)

Just a pic from the movie. Eragon and Arya. He's actually pretty obsessed with her in the books. I can't wait for the last book to see the ending. This is a pic of Sienna Guillory and Ed Speleers. This was taken on Monday lol. It was at the London premiere. I keep up to date with these things. He's looking pretty good. Maybe not so much in this photo but the straight hair is actually quite good on him. Haaaaa.

Glad it came out here today it's not meant to be out in the States until tomorrow. Besides that I'm on a low allergy diet. It sux coz I can't eat anything it feels. Well I can't have bread, wheat, flour, sweet stuff, diary products and can only have 2 pieces of fruit a day. I'm looking forward to when this diet is finished. Sigh.

And until next time xoxo

Updating on things

I'm tired from walking around everywhere. Went to the the revamped Westfield Chermside and it was awesome. There are a lot of little shops that are different to the usual ones. Did heaps of christmas shopping with Jason there. Was pretty tired by the end though.
Last night watched my little nephew 'graduate' from preschool. He will be in year 1 next year. How exciting! And today went to the Valley Markets again. I love that place. We bought a few more christmas presents (some for me =p) and after went to the local shopping centre. This too has been revamped and had some special opening. Triple M the radio station was broadcasting it. And there were two guys from the Queensland Roar team there. They were walking behind me hehe. But they are playing pretty badly, losing like 4 games in a row.

Anyway, just putting up the pics of what I sent for the 12 Days of Christmas swap. Ok here they are:
This is a pic of everything. Excuse my bed on the side. It's all messy, I didn't even make it properly.

The pic on the left is Day 12. So there had to be12 items. I made 6 envelopes and 3 pairs of decorated bobby pins. The one to the right is Day 11. I made 5 mini cards and the chocolate has
6 pieces in it.

Day 10 Day 9

Day 8 Day 7
Day 8 consists of 2 crackers that I got in a kit it had 2 handmade rings in it, 2 bars of chocolate, a handmade bracelet, a scrunchie, 1 decorated bobby pin and a headband. Day 7 had a decoupaged notebook, a handmade bracelet, a pair of decorated bobby pins, 2 balls of yarn and a handmade Mighty Boosh pin (British comedy).

Day 6 Day 5
On the left the 6 things are the pack of lolly snakes, a sharpie pen, 1 bar of apple scented soap, a headband, a handmade ring and handmade necklace. Day 5 has a photo album (I put a pic of mario and luigi coz my partner likes them), a pack of nerds, a headband and 1 matching handmade bracelet and necklace.

And thats the lot. I kind of got over making things after that swap so now I'm only doing bits and pieces. Looking forward to Christmas I am (hehe yoda speak)

Some swap stuff

I have sent my last swap package for the 12 Days of Christmas. I have received my lot from the Christmas stocking swap. So here's what I received. This is the whole lot. A cute as knitted stocking, an pretty advent calender and others which I'll show pics of.

This is the candy canes, the chocolate coins and Celebrations chocolate she sent. Yum chocolate

She made a little velvet drawstring pouch, decorated some baubles, and this little santa figure decoration.

She sent some jewellery wire which I needed, some scrapbooking stickers needed and some little stackable containers which is something I needed. So good.

She made a mixed cd with some groups I haven't heard of so it was good to get to know some others. A sweet butterfly stencil singlet and this little pencil case.

The very lovely knitted stocking. I can't knit so knitted items are awesome.

And this is the advent calender she made. It's so pretty. You can't see the detail in this photo. It's being put to good use. =)
I'll put the pics of what I made for the 12 days swap another day and the formal pics.
